How do I get a picnic permit?

Picnic permits must be applied for in person at 2130 Winter Street. Online permit applications are no longer available. Check or money order is the only accepted form of payment and can be made out to “Fairmount Park Trust Funds”. Please visit the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation website for more permit related information.

All reserved sites will have a reservation sign posted the day of. Picnic areas without signs are available for walk up use on a first come first served basis.

Are there bathrooms in the park?

Yes! There are two brick and mortar bathrooms. One is located at the Clubhouse (1954 Pattison Avenue) and the other across from the skatepark under 95.

Am I allowed to grill?

Yes! Cookouts are carry in and carry out which means you must provide your own grill and dispose of coals appropriately.

Campfires are not allowed in FDR Park.

When are the Markets?

The South East Asian Market is on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-6pm. Visit the SEA Markets website for more information.

The Latino Market is on Sundays from 8:00am-5:30pm
